The New Year is a time for new starts and fresh beginnings. Every year, people set themselves a list of New Year’s resolutions, most of which have been given up on by the end of January! This season is one where people try to better themselves and improve their lives. If you are one of these people with grand plans for the New Year, why shouldn’t these resolutions extend to your pets, too?
So, for 2017, start the New Year as you mean to go on – for both your pet and yourself.
It is easy to sit down and think about the areas of your own life that you want to improve, but it isn’t that simple for your pet. We know that you want your beloved fur baby to have the very best possible life with you, which is why we think that the New Year is the perfect excuse to spend some time and money pampering your pet!
Of course, there are many pet products out there that will claim to be the best for your pets, but at the end of the day, you are the person who knows your pet best. Therefore, you are the one who knows what your pets need and what products they are sure to love!
If you are struggling to think of a good way to show your pet just how much you love and appreciate them, how about treating them to shiny new pet tags, engraved and personalised with their name and your contact details.
The New Year is the perfect opportunity to say ‘out with the old, in with the new’, and swap that battered old pet tag for a brand new model. After all, pet tags have to withstand all sorts of wear and tear when worn by animals, and New Year is the perfect time to upgrade.
You could also treat your pet to a fun new toy for them to enjoy. Go for something you know they will love playing with – even better if it’s something that the two of you can enjoy bonding over together. Some of our favourites are this super squeaky toy from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a fun tennis ball tug, and this fantastic Nerf dog tennis ball blaster, which will entertain the dog and the kids at the same time!
However, if you would prefer to show your affection for your pets in a different way, resolve to spend more time with them this New Year. Dogs, in particular, always love some fuss and attention. If you regularly spend long hours out of the house at work, it can be just as worthwhile to spend some quality time with your pet.
This New Year, show your pets the level of loyalty and affection they reserve for you and start off the New Year in the right way with your pets.
